I finished it!

I'm telling you.....when you have a blog, you tend to think of the silliest things to photograph. I took a picture of my supper last night and then decided it was too dumb to mention (although it was yummy), then I watered the flowers outside and thought maybe you'd be interested in my overgrown romaine lettuce or my poor undernourished tomato plants. Thankfully though, you won't have to go through any of that craziness because I finished my ducky doll quilt today. I've decided to call it, "Quack". The finished size is 19 1/2 by 21 inches. Unfortunately, I don't think it's my swap partner's taste at all so who knows where this will end up. Maybe I should give it away???

And lastly, the back: (Where did he go??)

Now, I have to decide what's next. I have a few more in my head, and darling husband is out of town again, so I have free sailing to make as big of a mess as I'd like. Stay tuned........

Who Knew??

No way would I have ever thought that I'd enjoy the mini quilt process. I mean, here I was kicking out a lap quilt a week, rushing to the quilt shop to get it registered for the quilter, picking up a finished one another day, and all I could have been doing was making cute little ones that make me smile. I am having such a ball!!! I think I told you that there might be 4 for that doll swap I'm in, right? Well.....#2 is done! First, let me tell you that I am NOT a gnome girl. Neither do I really appreciate mushrooms (except on my pizza), but lately, I've been noticing that several younger quilters really "flip" for this stuff so I decided to make something in that line.

Let me introduce you to "Gnome Sweet Gnome":

I Finally Did it!!

Who would guess that I would ever have a blog. Oh, I'm so happy to be among the "in" crowd. Just think of all the neat stuff I can show you all. Man, this will be so fun!!! I can hardly wait to get going. If not for the DQS#7, I'd probably still be sitting here blogless. My poor partner hasn't a clue to what I'm really like, poor dear!!

I'm almost done with my first doll quilt and I'm sure it's no where near her likes, so I'll finish it and see what happens. I'm thinking I'll have about 4 before this whole thing is done. (I do get carried away.)

Here's a sneak peek to the first one:
